St. Roch murder remains unsolved 10 years later

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Around 3:15 a.m. on Sept. 23, 2016, police were called to a shooting scene in the St. Roch neighborhood. 10 years later, the killing remains unsolved. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

At the scene police found a man, 30-year-old Nathan Tinglof, who’d been shot once in the chest in the 2400 block of North Villere Street. He was on the ground beside a white pickup truck. He died at the scene.

Friends of the victim told WGNO News that the white pickup truck belonged to him and was still running when police arrived. The NOPD says officers also found Tinglof’s wallet there. So, it doesn’t appear robbery was the motive…
