WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Jake Dunne says we are waking up showers and storms, especially across western Kansas where heavy rain is falling in spots. Expect the activity to slowly move west to east across the state today arriving in the Wichita area this afternoon and/or evening.
Expect the shower and storm chances to continue tonight through Friday night before tapering off early Saturday morning. While areas of heavy rainfall are likely, especially along and north of I-70, severe weather is not expected. An isolated storm is possible Saturday evening, mainly along and east of the turnpike.
The upcoming weekend appears a little warmer as temperatures rebound into the lower to middle 80s, or a few degrees above average for late September. Sunday and Monday will be dry before another weather maker arrives Monday night into Tuesday…
