North Charleston man accused of firing gun into air outside of ER parking lot

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A North Charleston man was arrested after he allegedly fired a shot into the air after an argument with his girlfriend and mother.

Angelo O’Neal Connor, 26, is charged with discharging a firearm within city limits.

Officers responded to the Roper St. Francis Diagnostics & ER at Northwoods on Rivers Avenue Wednesday just before 10 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located and spoke with the suspect’s mother and girlfriend, who police said were uninjured.

The mother said she and the girlfriend were taking Connor to the hospital because of mental health concerns. She went on to say that an argument between him and his girlfriend began in the vehicle and continued after they arrived at the hospital parking lot…
