PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — The Portage Parks Foundation will host its fourth annual Oktoberfest fundraiser at South Westnedge Park this weekend.
The event runs 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. The annual fundraiser helps raise money for the Portage Parks Foundation and its support for projects across the city.

“Every year, we’ve had a growth in attendance,” Jason Kamrath, vice president of the Portage Parks Foundation, said. “Last year, we were up to about 2,100 people that attended.”
Oktoberfest will include several traditional German beer options for visitors 21 years old or older to sample. Attendees can enjoy a variety of free activities throughout the day, including yard games, live polka music, an empty keg rolling competition and more.
“There is no cost to attend,” Kamrath said. “You don’t have to purchase anything to enjoy the event.”…
