SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Surfside Beach Police Department’s new ride is expected to help them respond to beach emergencies more efficiently.
The department announced on Thursday that they will be using a Police Package Utility Vehicle (UTV).
This change is a result of the Beach Ambassador Unit currently using vehicles that are not equipped for emergency police operations, SBPD said.
