Man sentenced to life for East County home invasions that resulted in teen’s death

A man was sentenced Thursday for his role in a pair of home invasion robberies in East County San Diego nearly a decade ago, one of which ended in the death of his 15-year-old accomplice.

Joshua Manu Story was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus decades after being convicted on 21 felony counts, including robbery, kidnapping for ransom and battery with serious bodily injury.
