SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Mexican national living in Sacramento was sentenced to 31 months in prison for illegally possessing firearms and reentering the United States after being previously deported.
Luis Eduardo Torres-Hernandez, 40, received the sentence on Sept. 24, 2026, from U.S. District Judge Daniel J. Calabretta, according to U.S. Attorney Eric Grant. Torres-Hernandez pleaded guilty to the charges on April 2, 2026.
