ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) — Albany Police said an 18-year-old man faces a weapon charge after officers recovered a loaded 9mm handgun near North Manning Boulevard.
According to police, officers responded Wednesday, Sept. 23, around 6:10 p.m. to North Manning Boulevard near Third Street for reports of a man with a gun. Police said officers broadcast a suspect description over the radio and then tried to stop a person who matched it.
Police said Jaysin E. Butler, of Albany, ran from officers on foot and was taken into custody a short time later nearby. During the chase, officers saw Butler throw away a loaded 9mm handgun, according to investigators…
