A nor’easter coinciding with high tide could cause minor flooding in the lower Hudson Valley, meteorologists say.
While the storm was expected to be more severe further south into New York City and Long Island, the Hudson could rise by Saturday afternoon as far north as Poughkeepsie and Kingston, according to Joe Villani, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Albany. A flood advisory was in effect in the lower Hudson Valley along the river through 2 p.m. Sunday.
