Sacramento County Health Inspectors gave a red placard to a local high school kitchen after finding hundreds of rodent droppings including inside the food storage area.
Additionally, eight eateries received citations for health food violations including brown and pink residue, several dead flies on the floor and grease build up was found on filters above the cook line.
What do these inspections mean?
While a yellow placard signals two or more major violations, these are typically corrected or mitigated during the inspection, according to the Sacramento County Retail Food Inspection Guide.
