Arkansas Wildlife Weekly Fishing Report

A Colorado angler named Chad came over to Arkansas to land a nice 4.3-pound, 21-inch rainbow trout on the White River near Calico Rock this week. He was fishing with a Jenkins Fishing Resort guide named Cobb (no other details available on the names), and they were using sculpins to land the rainbow. According to Dave McCulley at Jenkins Resort, the water as of Wednesday had settled into a 3- to 5-foot level, and quarter-ounce Thompson Colorado Spoons, Rapala Countdowns, Panther Martin lures and jigs were working well with the trout.

Reports are updated weekly, although some reports may be published for two weeks if updates are not received promptly or if reporters say conditions haven’t changed. Contact the reporter listed for the lake or stream you plan to fish for current news.
