Here in the Silver State, almost half a million people rely on SNAP to fill their fridges and pack their pantries. And coming up on Oct. 1, they’ll get a little extra buying power at the grocery store.
Thanks to the annual cost-of-living adjustment, all 42 million people signed up for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program nationwide will see a 3% bump to their monthly budget.
A single person will now have eight extra dollars, coming out to $306 in total. And a family of four will have $1,023 to spend, a $29 upgrade…
