Strong southeast winds are expected to build across parts of Southcentral Alaska through Saturday as a front moves north across the Gulf of Alaska, with the strongest gusts focused along Turnagain Arm, the Anchorage Hillside, and portions of the Knik River Valley.
The National Weather Service says winds will increase through Friday, peaking later in the afternoon and continuing into Friday night before gradually easing Saturday.
