PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — The wetter, western trend for this weekend’s coastal storm continued overnight, pushing rainfall totals higher across much of eastern Pennsylvania. The latest Saturday through Sunday rainfall forecast shows 2.00 to 2.50 inches for Philadelphia and the far southeastern corner of the state, 1.50 to 1.75 inches around Doylestown and Easton, and 0.75 to 1.00 inch for Allentown and Reading. Rain is expected to arrive east of Interstate 81 between 7 and 10 AM Saturday, with a second push of rain on Sunday as the low pressure system tracks near the New Jersey shore.
Forecast Totals Raised for Eastern Pennsylvania
Forecasters have increased rainfall totals across eastern Pennsylvania as model guidance keeps shifting the storm farther west. Totals could still be nudged a bit higher and even farther west as confidence grows.
