PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) — Not every top prize lottery ticket is enough money for you to quit your 9-to-5, purchase an island and never be seen again. But that doesn’t mean it can’t add a substantial cushion to your savings.
One man got a surprise when he bought a Rolling Cash 5 ticket from the Speedway on Brookpark Road in Parma Heights, according to the Ohio Lottery.
$20M lottery prize claimed in Northeast Ohio
Turns out the man, reportedly from Parma, won the top prize of $248,000.
After all the taxes are taken out, the winner is bringing home $181,660, the Ohio Lottery reported Friday. The winner did not say what he would do with the winnings.
The Rolling Cash 5 jackpot starts at $100,000 and grows every time there isn’t a 5 of 5 winner. The Sept. 17 winning numbers were 1-20-23-32-34. Drawings take place just after 7 p.m. every day…
