HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The woman accused of causing the deaths of two people in a crash on July 4, 2024, was sentenced after pleading guilty in court.
Crystal Edmonds plead guilty to two counts of causing death when operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. She was sentenced to two years in prison, followed by two years home confinement and two years of probation. Her driver’s license will also be suspended for six years.
Evansville Police say Edmonds’ vehicle struck and killed Mark Jeffers and Regina Hinkel as they were crossing the street on West Florida Street. A blood draw reportedly showed Edmonds tested positive for “toxic” levels of methamphetamine use…
