VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — High winds at the Oceanfront have prompted Neptune Festival officials to move several activities to the nearby Virginia Beach Convention Center, while continuing with select outdoor events and canceling several others.
The forecasted winds are preventing the safe installation of tents, with the art and craft show, Poseidon’s Playground activities, Touch-A-Truck, the youth art show and young collectors art gallery all taking place at the convention center Saturday and Sunday.
The Neptune’s 8K race, Saturday and Sunday concerts at the 31st and 24th street parks, and the Hometown Heroes reception, will proceed as scheduled…
