BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A father is accused of choking his 5-year-old son “because of homework,” according to an affidavit.
Deuntaie Banks, 36, of Baton Rouge, was charged with cruelty to juveniles.
The Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) was called to CSAL Elementary School, 1651 Choctaw Drive, to investigate a child abuse complaint.
Staff at the school stated that the 5-year-old boy told them Banks caused the marks on his neck, BRPD said…
