LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A Lafayette family of seven is seeking assistance after a tree fell into their house, rendering the structure uninhabitable.
The mother, Latrevion Bellow, discovered the collapse after returning home to find severe damage to the property.The tree collapsed while no family members were inside the building. However, damaged gas lines and the risk of further collapse have made the home unsafe for anyone to reenter until crews can clear the fallen tree.
