LUBBOCK, Texas — Across the South Plains, organizations are working to create opportunities and help the next generation find its voice. For leaders with the Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas (HWNT), that’s a mission they strive to fulfill every day.
“We’re trying to raise the voices of Latinas so that we can contribute to the changes that are happening throughout the United States and challenge disparities that women continue to face,” said Katherine Villarreal-Youniacutt.
Villarreal-Youniacutt serves as the state representative for HWNT’s Lubbock chapter.
