LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln Police Department SWAT Team recently received national recognition for rescuing a woman who had been kidnapped and allegedly nearly killed by her ex-boyfriend in 2025.
The National Tactical Officers Association awarded the LPD SWAT Team the Unit Citation for Valor “for their courage under the most perilous conditions, unwavering commitment to officer and public safety, and successful execution of two extraordinarily hazardous hostage rescue operations.”
