OHP urges students to speak up after recent weapons brought into Oklahoma schools

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KOKH) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) is reminding students of the importance of speaking up following multiple instances of students bringing weapons into schools.

On Thursday, a 15-year-old Stillwater student was taken into custody after bringing a gun to school, and two Norman teens are facing charges after allegedly bringing multiple weapons to Norman High School on Sept. 16.

OHP said if students hear something, a parent sees a concerning post, or a teacher notices something isn’t right, notify authorities immediately through the ProtectOK app…
