Chris Williams has been all over the world – and high above it – as a NASA astronaut, a dream he recently told Bethesda Today that would not have been possible without the education he received as a student at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring.
“The schools in Montgomery County are just absolutely incredible,” Williams, 42, told Bethesda Today on Wednesday over Zoom. “They really nurtured my love of science and space.”
Williams lived in Potomac and took part in Blair’s math and science magnet program, which he said taught him how to approach difficult problems by breaking them into smaller, solvable pieces.
