A man who fired multiple rounds at three bystanders and vehicles at a Sherwood self-storage facility in summer 2025 has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
On Sept. 18, Travis Lee Blumhagen, 41, of Salem pleaded guilty of four counts of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, second-degree assault, three counts of first-degree criminal mischief with a firearm and driving under the influence before being sentenced by Washington County Circuit Court Judge Hafez Daraee.
The conviction stems from a July 6, 2025, incident when motorists called to report a reckless driver. Witnesses, including an off-duty Beaverton Police Department detective, reported seeing Blumhagen’s pickup truck traveling at a high speed while driving into oncoming traffic and running red lights in the Tigard and Sherwood areas…
