COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A pumpkin patch, hayrides, a petting zoo and a rock climbing wall are coming to Woodruff Park for this year’s fall festival. Organizers said they are replacing past food truck events with a lineup of seasonal, family-friendly activities.

This year, Uptown Columbus will host more seasonal activities for its fall festival than in years past. The event will include a pumpkin patch, hayrides, a petting zoo, a rock wall climbing activity and other activities for children and adults.
Tracey Green, director of marketing and communications for Uptown Columbus, said the organization identified a need for the event in the community.
“So we were like what does our community need? We learned that our community really doesn’t have a fall festival event. Most of the time you have to drive to Salem or into other areas that are nearby within driving distance, but we’re like how cool would it be if we could bring a festival to the Columbus community,” Green said.
