NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (WKBN) – Rowan Miller threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Chase Mitcheltree with 35 seconds remaining Friday night to lift Wilmington to a 36-29 victory in a wild finish that included three touchdowns and a ‘go for the win’ two-point conversion attempt in the final minutes of the game.
Mitcheltree had a rushing touchdown that gave the Greyhounds a seven point lead with just over two minutes remaining, but Mercyhurst drove the field and scored a potential game-tying touchdown with just 45 seconds remaining. But, trailing by a point on the road, they decided to ‘go for two and the win’, which they converted.
