What’s buried in the Angel Mounds grounds
Eight miles southeast of Evansville, a stretch of land along the Ohio River holds what’s left of one of the most intact ancient Native American towns in the country.
A real city stood here nearly a thousand years ago, and the land is still sacred to the tribal nations whose ancestors built it.
