MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Ninety-six people have been murdered so far this year in Memphis, and although the Memphis police Department says murders are down by 60%, the pain for murder victim families never goes away.
In honor of National Day of Remembrance for murder victims, a ceremony was held Friday night at the Botanic Gardens. This year’s theme was growing through grief because, as loved ones say, that grief never really goes away.
