Steven Sabel, former editor for The Redlands Daily Facts and founder of The Redlands Shakespeare Festival, died at the age of 55 on Sept. 10 due to complications from cancer surgery. He was 55.
He married his first wife, Etha Hoban, whose parents John and Irene Hoban owned The Perris Progress weekly newspaper. Sabel became involved in the family business, working as an investigative reporter and as the Managing Editor.
