TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Toledo Fire & Rescue crews have temporarily plugged a gas leak that began after a driver crashed into a pump at a Toledo gas station and fled, triggering days of gas fumes reported by neighbors. Toledo police are now investigating the crash as a criminal case.
Fire crews worked for days at the scene at Cherry Oil Sunoco at the corner of Central Avenue and Cherry Street to track down the leak.
“We have found the leak, and we have put a plug into it right now. We’re just trying to find out where the leak is coming from so that we can come break ground and plug the leak permanently,” said Private Sheldon Collins, Toledo Fire & Rescue…
