As a candidate for district attorney in East Baton Rouge Parish, Ryan Thompson filed a campaign finance report this week, after the state Board of Ethics fined him Monday for missing a deadline to submit the required paperwork.
Thompson, a 45-year-old local attorney and civil litigator, was charged a maximum fine of $2,500 for missing the Aug. 5 deadline, which was 90 days out from the Nov. 3 election.
