SAN ANTONIO — Ten San Antonio police officers opened fire on a man in his 30s Friday night after he allegedly racked a shotgun and pointed it at them in a bar parking lot near downtown.
According to San Antonio police, officers initially responded to a call for a man armed with a gun at a convenience store in the 500 block of Ruiz Street. They located the suspect nearby at The Kozy Korner bar carrying a duffel bag that held a visible long gun.
When the suspect maneuvered between vehicles and ignored commands to surrender, officers fired less-lethal beanbag rounds. The man then emerged, racked a loaded shotgun, and pointed it at the officers, prompting 10 officers to fire and strike him multiple times…
