Two Columbus Police Officers are recovering after being stabbed early Saturday morning according to a statement from the department.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 3:21 a.m., Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd regarding a dispute between neighbors. After officers resolved the initial dispute, Makayla Jacobson, 22, caused another disturbance while officers were still on scene.
When two officers approached Jacobson to take her into custody, she retrieved a knife and stabbed both officers. Both officers were transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional with non-life-threatening injuries. They have since been treated and released…
