EUGENE, OR — Three missing children were recovered after U.S. Marshals arrested Lynn Blackthorne in Wake Forest, North Carolina, on Sept. 10, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.
The arrest was carried out by the agency’s Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force working with the Eastern District of North Carolina Fugitive Task Force. Marshals said the children were recovered by U.S. Marshals personnel after Blackthorne was taken into custody.
Blackthorne had been wanted on an arrest warrant issued in Douglas County, Oregon, in July. The case began after Blackthorne took a child who was listed as missing and endangered in the National Crime Information Center database.
How the case widened beyond Oregon
