RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Jim Ukrop, the eldest son of Ukrop’s Super Markets founders Joe and Jacquelin Ukrop, died in Richmond on Friday at 89 years old.
He is survived by his wife Barbara “Bobbie” Berkeley Ukrop; his brother, Robert “Bobby” Ukrop; his sons, Scott Ukrop and his wife, Lilo; Joseph Edward “Ted” Ukrop and his wife, Katie; his five grandchildren, and his three great-grandchildren, according to William and Mary’s alumni magazine.
In a post made to Instagram on Saturday, Sept. 26, Richmond Mayor Danny Avula said “This weekend, Richmond lost an incredible leader, laborer, and friend.”…
