(WJAR) — Rhode Island Energy said it has restored power to nearly 30,000 customers after heavy rain and strong winds caused widespread outages overnight.
More than 31,000 customers were affected, the utility said. Fewer than 1,000 remained without power as of 3:45 p.m. Saturday. That number is expected to change throughout the weekend.
