On a warm sunny Saturday morning, family and friends of Ja’Derrius Minnieweather and Da’vonte Coleman gathered together before walking in their memory in the Istrouma High School homecoming parade.
Both teens suffered violent deaths this year: 17-year-old Coleman was shot in the head when a friend was cleaning a gun in March, and 15-year-old Minnieweather was brutally killed and his body dumped in a landfill in June.
