A bridge dedication for the Sac River Arch Bridge on Farm Road 128 took place on Monday, Sept. 21, complete with a proclamation from Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon, declaring the rare and vintage bridge a historic site.
Dave Coonrod, member of the Greene County Historic Sites Board, spearheaded the push to delegate this bridge a historic landmark in the county and spoke at the dedication ceremony.
“I live adjacent to here and I’ve lived out here a little over 30 years,” said Coonrod. “And you know, it’s a great area. It’s kind of… the best kept secret in Greene County out this way.”…
