Easton City Council agreed Wednesday to seek a grant to cover half the $357,000 cost of police body and dashboard cameras.
City police were outfitted with the cameras in 2019. They’re now obsolete, according to the grant application.
“While slow replacements have been made as needed, a single overhaul of new equipment will ensure the fast and smooth transition between old technology to new,” the application says. “As this equipment is used daily, investing in new cameras will allow for continued peak performance by our law enforcement officers.”…
