Online trash talk between a man and his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend preceded a shooting that left the 26-year-old man wounded on a Lincoln Square street corner Saturday afternoon, police said.
Police responded to calls of shots fired and a person shot in the 5200 block of North Rockwell Street at 1:52 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to his left thigh. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in fair condition, police said.
Officers at the scene learned the victim had been involved in an online argument with his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, who police are now looking for in connection with the shooting. No other injuries were reported. Area Three detectives are investigating…
