Over a thousand people in the Lehigh Valley were without power Sunday afternoon, mostly due to issues caused by the impacts of a nor’easter making its way along the Mid-Atlantic coastline.
As of 3:30 Sunday, FirstEnergy, which owns Met-Ed, showed around 1,300 customers without power in Northampton County. Most of those were in Easton’s West Ward.
FirstEnergy’s website indicated that the outages were due to inclement weather, with restoration of electricity expected by 5 p.m. in the neighborhood surrounding Washington and Walnut streets. Between South Second and South Third streets, crews were expected to restore service by 5:30 p.m…
