The Lake Community YMCA has scheduled its annual Senior Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 9. The event is free and open to the general public. Participants will find the fair set up inside the Field House gym at the Lake YMCA.
Fifty vendors are scheduled, with companies ranging from AARP and the American Red Cross to rehabilitation facilities, senior living organizations, insurance companies, Stark Parks and home repair companies, among others.
“The fair is a way for seniors to come and get to know the different companies and services available to them,” Health and Wellness Director Andrea Frank said. “One example is a company called Honey Suite is coming and they will be showing videos of converting a garage to a suite for a family to be able to move their aging family member into it.”…
