LAKELAND, Fla. — A Lakeland family business is preserving a Cuban cigar-making tradition that goes back generations while sharing the craft with a new community during Hispanic Heritage Month.
Luis and Lourdes Sanchez own La Tradicion Cubana Cigars in Lakeland. Luis Sanchez said the company has been making cigars since 1995, but its connection to cigar making dates back to Cuba in the 1920s.
