(FOX40.COM) — A woman is dead and 2 more are hospitalized after a car crash on State Route 160 in Sacramento County on Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.
Around 5:30 a.m., CHP responded to a two-car collision on SR-160 near Sherman Island Cross Road south of Rio Vista. According to CHP, a black Kia Forte veered from the northbound lanes and “directly into the path” of a white Ford F250 pickup truck on the southbound side. Photos from CHP show the truck appeared to be pulling equipment.
The sole occupant of the Kia was pronounced dead due to injuries from the crash. The two people inside the truck were sent to a hospital with unknown injuries.
It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, CHP said…
