While the Toledo area has had quite a bit of rain lately, the Ohio Department of Transportation says its new roundabout on Maumee-Western Road (U.S. 20A) at Strayer Road remains on target to open in about three weeks.
Curbs and gutters were completed last week, and Kelsie Hoagland, a spokesman at ODOT’s Bowling Green district office, said traffic islands and the crushed stone base will be started this week.
Once stone is finished next week, paving will start, and paving and stripe painting are expected to be completed the following week. Some lighting might not be installed until after the roundabout opens…
