One of Texas’ buzziest suburbs is ramping up development efforts to supplement its explosive residential growth in recent years, attracting the likes of local businesses and major retailers along the way.
The City of Leander is a suburb north of Austin that’s home to approximately 91,000 residents as of July 2025 Census estimates. As it continually attracts more and more community members, so, too has the need grown for more resources and amenities to meet their needs.
“What we’re seeing is that next step for the community,” Leander City Manager Todd Parton told MySA in an interview on Thursday, September 24. “So we’re starting to see significant business growth and primary job growth, and we’re starting to see more and more retail. If you look at the city, you’ll see the beginning of some of those additional higher level services and retail components.”…
