HOBBS, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — A teacher remains hospitalized in Lubbock after being shot multiple times by a student Friday morning at Highland Middle School in Hobbs, according to Hobbs Police.
Hobbs Police Chief James Jones said officers were dispatched to the school around 11:39 a.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing. Officers were later informed that the incident involved a shooting.
