VOORHEESVILLE — A young owl that may not have learned how to hunt was found at Thacher State Park this weekend, sitting on the ground in the middle of a trail.
He didn’t try to fly away or even move when a park ranger collected him in a towel.
Those are not good signs.
But in the care of a wildlife rehabilitator, he is eating, drinking and exploring his intensive care enclosure. That indicates there was nothing wrong with the owl — except that his mother was no longer feeding him…
