Dennis Haskins, beloved for his role as Principal Richard Belding on the popular TV series Saved by the Bell, has passed away at the age of 75. His agent, Jay Schachter, confirmed the news, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.
“It’s a tragic loss. Everyone loved Mr.
Belding, and those of us who knew Dennis personally loved him even more,” Schachter shared. “He was a wonderful person who absolutely adored his fans and always made time for them.
He was not only my client but also a dear friend for over 20 years. I will miss him terribly.”
The cause of Haskins’ death has not yet been disclosed.
Fans of Saved by the Bell took to social media to mourn the actor’s passing, sharing heartfelt messages. One user wrote, “Not Mr.
Belding!! RIP, good sir,” while another commented, “That’s so sad.

His signature catchphrase, “Hey, hey, hey, what is going on here?” became a memorable part of the show’s charm.
He reprised this role in several spinoffs, including Saved by the Bell: The College Years and Saved by the Bell: The New Class. Beyond the Saved by the Bell franchise, Haskins appeared in various other TV series and films.
His credits include A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014), Mad Men, Hot in Cleveland, New Girl, I’m Dying Up Here, Robot Chicken, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His acting career began in 1979 with a guest appearance on The Dukes of Hazzard.
