COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The Georgia Department of Education has released graduation rates for the 2025-2026 graduating class, showing Muscogee County School District seniors outperformed the state average.
The district’s graduation rate grew 0.2 percentage points over the previous year, reaching a new high of 96.3%.

Superintendent Dr. David Lewis credited the community for the results.
“We are pleased and proud to see the graduation rate continue to improve in 2026,” Lewis said. “This progress reflects the perseverance of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and our intentional efforts to identify students who need additional support and intervene early. Our goal is not simply graduation, but ensuring every student is prepared for what comes next, whether they choose to enroll, enlist, or enter the workforce. We celebrate the Class of 2026 and remain committed to helping every student succeed in school and beyond.”
What the numbers represent
The percentages represent the district’s four-year cohort graduation rate, which includes all students who completed high school within four years.
